CALDWELL PARENTS CONCERNED OVER THREATS

Parents in the Caldwell ISD are asking why not charges were file after violent threats were made at the middle school and high school last week.

According to authorities, two threats were made last Thursday.  The Burleson County Sheriff's office says, however, there wasn't enough evidence to file charges against the student making those threats.

School officials say the threat made against the middle school was a misinterpretation of a tweet.

Superintendent Andrew Peters says the high school student who made a violent threat involving a weapon against the high school was appropriately punished by the district.

Due to the threat, Caldwell's middle school was put into a brief lockdown.

  1. Anyone who makes and I quote, “A violent threat involving a weapon against the high school”, should also have to face punishment from law enforcement. A slap on the wrist now and worse will happen later. People need to understand that you cannot say what you want, when you want, to whomever you want, and think it is okay.
