CANDIDATE FORUM TO BE HELD MONDAY
Candidates in the race for Texas House District 13 will square off in a Candidate's Forum hosted by radio station KWHI next Monday night, January 5th.
The KWHI Candidate Forum will be held Monday night at 5:45 at the lobby of Brenham National Bank.
The four candidates for State Representative District 13 race have been invited to attend, and will include:
Burleson County Attorney Leighton Schubert,
Schulenburg businesswoman Becky Berger,
Austin County Judge Carolyn Bilski.
Retired Army Colonel Fayette County Democrat Cecil Webster. Webster has been active in Fayette County politics for years, having served as chair of the Fayette County Democratic Party, a regional trainer for the Texas Democratic Party, a delegate to numerous Texas Democratic Party conventions, and a delegate to the 2012 national Democratic convention. More recently, Webster ran unsuccessfully for Fayette County judge in the November 4, 2014 election.
The winner of the election will replace Lois Kolkhorst, who was elected to the Texas Senate in December.
The first day for early voting is Monday, January 5th and will continue through Friday January 9th from 8am to 5pm at the Washington County Courthouse Annex.
