CANDIDATE PROFILE: CHARLES GREGORY

Charles Gregory is one of five candidates for Texas Senate 18 seat, and, although not as well-known as some of the other candidates, has ideas of how he would legislate from Austin.

Gregory is currently Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel of Royal Disposal and Recycle. He has served as the General Counsel for the Fort Bend Republican Party.

Gregory says on his website that, when it comes to border security, he has seen for himself growing up in south Texas,  the numbers of illegal coming, unencumbered, illegally across the Texas border.

Also a top priorities would be to address water needs in Texas. Proposition 6, which was passed by legislators and voters in 2013, took $2 billion from the state’s Rainy Day Fund to create two accounts to pay for Texas water projects.

Among his solutions for dealing with the border situation is the expansion of the Border Zone, removal of sanctuary cities and removal of multiculturalism and bilingualism in school classrooms, and believes that English should be the Native Language of Texas, and would sponsor legislation to that effect.

Gregory also supports the second amendment, and believes not only does the second amendment refer to hunting, but also defending the citizen’s rights against a tyrannical government.

Gregory also believes that the other candidates owe too much to the lobbyist, and that there is too much money in politics, and this campaign, in general, and believes this senate seat seems to be for sale.

Early voting will continue today.  from 8am to 5pm. Election Day is Saturday, December 6th.
