  1. So none of these candidates seem willing to stand up for school choice. You can call it “public money” all day, but at the end of the day, the $5000+ I pay in property taxes were dollars that my husband and I worked hard to earn. I would like to have some say in my children’s education but the middle class can’t afford school choice. If the morals of our public schools hadn’t fallen so low, this might not be an issue.

The other day, I went to BHS to drop off some medicine for my daughter. It must have been in between classes because music was playing really loudly over the PA system. The rap song being played said “Mother F*******” with the F word bleeped out but just barely. The message was still loud and clear. I asked my daughter about this and she said thats a normal occurrence. Oftentimes they will play songs with lyrics about drinking, drugs, partying, and sex.

At home, we teach morals. It seems that in the public schools they are being indoctrinated by ideas that run counter to the morals we instill at home. This is why people want school choice! I know my children learn a lot from their academic teachers, but what good is that if they are told day after day that partying makes you happy, that sex makes you happy. “What does it profit a man to gain the whole world but lose his soul?” Should only rich people have access to schools that aren’t cesspools of filth and moral decay? Why should my tax dollars be confiscated so I can be told that my child must be indoctrinated by a culture that runs counter to the values that built this country?
