CANDLELIGHT VIGIL TO BE HELD TONIGHT IN BRENHAM

A candlelight vigil is set for this evening in Brenham.

Texas Rural Voices and the Washington County Democratic Club are holding the vigil to show sympathy for the victims of violence Saturday in Charlottesville, Virginia.

Three people died in the violence, including two state troopers and a 32-year-old mother of one, who was killed when a car plowed into a crowd of protesters.

The violence broke out during a white nationalist rally.

The vigil is being held tonight at 8 at the Washington County courthouse.

The two local groups said "citizens wishing to express sympathies for victims and to defeat home grown terrorism" are invited to tonight's rally.

  1. there are going to be more and more of these white nationalist groups popping up if the government keeps paying more attention to minority groups that they think need more help than the white population we all are suppose to have equal rights. three stories in the headlines all about whites wanting to voice their views but instead they have been silenced this is not equal treatment

  2. Good for them. I wish I could join to mourn the victim of the white nationaltst terrorost.
