CAPTURING KIDS HEARTS

When the Brenham School Board meets tonight (Monday) they will continue to find ways to ensure students will continue to go to school and be enthusiastic about being there.

The Board has already heard about the ‘Game Changers’ program which orients school to school, encouraging  them to stay but Assistant Brenham School Supt. Byron McAdams says the teachers and administrators need to do their part.  That’s why the board will hear about the ‘Capturing Kids Hearts’ program.

This program helps teachers better relate to students.

The school board will also be getting an update on House Bill Five, which gives students more flexibility on course selection.  They will hear how the new graduation requirements will affect the Career and Technology Educaiton.

It’s time for the school board to begin looking at furnishing the new Alton Elementary School and the newly renovated Brenham Middle School.  The board will be looking at purchase order contracts for furniture and equipment.

The Brenham School Board meets tonight (Monday), at the Brenham High Lecture room at six pm.
