CELEBRATE OUR SENIORS A SUCCESS

  

The 13th annual “Celebrate Our Seniors” program took place on Saturday, August 13th.

It was one of the most successful programs to date, with over 300 people in attendance to honor the awardees for their contributions to Washington County communities.

The honorees included Mrs. Billie Blackshire, Ms. Lottie Brooks, Mr. Jake Milam, Mrs. Dorothy Morgan, and Mrs. Viola Rogers.  However, due to a death in the family, Mr. Jake Milam was unable to attend but was represented by Mr. Louis Houser, who accepted the award on his behalf.

Each honoree was presented with a plaque in commemoration of their service.  All program attendees were treated to a fabulous barbeque meal, entertained with live Gospel music by the Original Spiritual Travelers of Houston, and advised of healthcare information by Golden Years Healthcare.  The program wrapped up with Bingo and prizes.
