CHAMBER HOLDING CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION PICNIC

A special Centennial Celebration Picnic will be held to recognize the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce on Friday, March 24, from 11am until 2pm in Fireman’s Park in Brenham.

Everyone in the community is invited to the free event.

At this 100th anniversary picnic in the park, guests will enjoy a live remote with KTEX-KWHI and the chance to spin the wheel for prizes. Lunch will be served free (to the first 500 guests) including chili dogs, beans and chips.  Popcorn and Blue Bell ice cream will be served, too, throughout the event.

Every guest at the picnic will receive one free ticket to place in their choice of “bucket drawing” containers.  There will be many fabulous choices of gift baskets and gift certificates to win, thanks to generous donations from local Chamber member businesses.

Another special feature will be the Centennial Celebration Guest Book, where all will be invited to sign their name and business/organization name.  This guest book will be placed into a Time Capsule at the end of the Centennial year with photos and other artifacts, and it will be opened for the community to view in 25 years from now.

Brenham Wholesale is a signature sponsor of the event along with KTEX-KWHI, and along with these other picnic sponsors, they join in extending an invitation to the whole community to attend: Bank of Brenham, Blue Bell, Goodwill, and Independence Coffee.

These Centennial Celebration sponsors have partnered with the Chamber for the year-long celebration: ACU Texas, Blue Bell, Brenham Chrysler Jeep Dodge, Brenham National Bank, Germania Insurance and Heritage Texas Country Properties.

Celebrate 100 years with the Washington County Chamber of Commerce by enjoying networking and lunch in Fireman’s Park on Friday, March 24, 2017.
