CHAMBER NOT AFFILIATED WITH MAP SOLICITORS CONTACTING LOCAL BUSINESSES

  

The Washington County Chamber of Commerce is advising local businesses that a company selling advertisements on a new map is not affiliated with the chamber.

The next "Official Street Map" for Brenham/Washington County will be produced in Spring or Summer 2017 and the chamber will inform businesses when ad sales begin for that publication. The company who produces the official map for our area is Community Matters, Inc.

In a message to chamber members, Page Michel said that whenever local businesses receive a request to advertise on maps, phone book covers, fridge magnets, etc. they recommend that people never commit over the phone. Instead, ask the company to send over printed information and also ask for references. Michele says people can call the Chamber anytime if they have questions
