“This past Saturday our community not only hosted a ribbon cutting to welcome the Washington County EMS Department to Chappell Hill, but we exceeded our goal of $11,500.00 and raised additional funds which will be earmarked for the 2017 portion of our contribution as well.  The fundraiser was a major success to due to our fundraising committee led by Carol Salah with 291 Ice House & Brown Eyed Girl and Terri Harris with Premium Roofing Systems and their team of volunteers.  The Chamber Board worked with the committee to promote the event, secure support from our local businesses, and prepare for what turned out to be a very successful event”

“We applaud the support of our Commissioners Court, the Chappell Hill Volunteer Fire Department, Bluebonnet Electric Cooperative for their contribution to offset the cost of the vehicle for this project, and want to extend our appreciation to Past President of the Chappell Hill Chamber of Commerce Roger Imm, Ed Smith with Chappell Hill Bank and Dr. Robert Stark for their vision and involvement in making sure the local project was implemented, and that Chappell Hill utilized the resources we had available for the betterment of our community,” stated Wick.

“Now that we have the EMS program up and running, we encourage all the residents in the eastern part of Washington County to come by and visit with the staff, tour the facility.  Most importantly, if you have a family member, or know someone that has ongoing medical needs, please consider signing up for the Advanced Community Paramedic Program, which will utilize clinically trained paramedics for proactive medical support in the community.  By providing education, home assessments and evaluations, this program can help our most fragile in the community.  To sign up for this program we encourage you to call 979-277-6267 or visit www.washingtoncountyems.net/clinicaloperations,” concluded Wick.
