CHAPPELL HILL HISTORICAL SOCIETY RECOGNIZES THEIR VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARMENT

The Chappell Hill Historical Society recently recognized the contributions, professionalism and dedication of the Chappell Hill Volunteer Fire Department at their monthly General Membership meeting this past Tuesday (May 23).

Members of the Chappell Hill Volunteer Fire Department, including current Fire Chief Mike Kmiec, were presented with a Texas Flag flown over the Texas Capitol in their honor by State Senator Lois Kolkhorst and the membership of the Chappell Hill Historical Society expressed their appreciation by having the Department as their featured guest for the May membership meeting.

Joel Romo, President of the Chappell Hill Historical Society, stated that “recently the Chappell Hill Volunteer Fire Department was instrumental, along with many of our county’s first responders, in helping extinguish a fire at the Museum which may have resulted in severe damage.

Throughout this process, which includes tireless work with our insurance company and public safety planning, they have been available 24/7 to assist us through this process.

The volunteers of the Chappell Hill Volunteer Fire Department assist us with our festivals, Christmas events and work with all of our community organizations to plan for the future and we applaud their commit and the leadership of the Department.”
