CHAPPELL HILL HISTORICAL SOCIETY TO HOST GIBBOUS MOON’S “THE DINING ROOM”

Gibbous Moon Productions, a local theatre group consisting of high school and college students is currently in their second year of producing, directing and recruiting actors while performing quality plays throughout the area.

“Our team will be performing A.R. Gurney’s The Dining Room which is a comedy of manners, set in a single dining room where 18 scenes from different households overlap and intertwine. Presumably, each story is focused around a different family during different time periods who has in their possession the same dining room furniture set, manufactured in 1898.

The cast of six perform the roles of various characters and demonstrate various generations of families on one set, a dining room,” according to Troy Freeman, one of Gibbous Moon’s founders.

“The Chappell Hill Historical Society is thrilled to once again, host Gibbous Moon Productions in one of our venues, The Rock Store, in downtown Chappell Hill and we welcome the entire community to come experience these young upcoming actors,” stated Joel Romo, President of the Chappell Hill Historical Society.
