CHAPPELL HILL MAN ARRESTED ON DRUG AND WEAPON CHARGES

  

A Chappell Hill man has been arrested after an investigation into a car accident led to the discovery of drugs and the unlawful carrying of a weapon.

On Thursday at approximately 9:50 p.m., Sgt. Seth Klehm responded to the 1800 block of US 290 West in reference to an accident.  When he arrived on the scene, the driver of the vehicle was not there.

Klehm eventually located the driver, 29-year-old Xavier Roshaun Turner. Turner appeared to be under the influence of an unknown substance. The investigation led to the discovery that Turner had a handgun stuck in his waistband. Sgt. Klehm also discovered a cigarette soaked in PCP.

Turner was charged with possession of a controlled substance and unlawfully carrying of a weapon
