CHAPPELL HILL MAN ARRESTED ON MULTIPLE CHARGES

A Brenham man is in custody after his arrest on a weapons charge, a drug charge and outstanding warrants.
29-year old Cory Martinez of Chappell Hill was pulled over by Brenham Police on a traffic stop, just after midnight, Friday morning on Highway 105.
Officer Jonathan Phipps found that Martinez had two active local warrants for traffic violations.
A search also turned up a firearm. Once at the Washington County Jail, authorities also found Martinez in possession of narcotics.
Martinez is charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon; Possession of a Controlled Substance; Possession of a Controlled Substance in a Detention Facility and the two outstanding warrants.
