CHAPPELL HILL PREPARES FOR CELEBRATION OF THE FOURTH

  

Folks in Chappell Hill are preparing to celebrate their 40th Annual Independence Day Parade, Monday.

Joel Romo, Parade Chairman, says the parade plans to live up to its national recognition, sharing the history and uniqueness of Chappell Hill.CHAPPELL HILL FOURTH

The parade, which begins at 10:00 a.m., will be hosting special floats for Veterans to ride.  Romo says any and all veterans are is invited to ride on the VIP floats which are sponsored by Chappell Hill Bank and Brenham National Bank.

They are also honoring our county’s First Responders with a special float they are invited to ride – especially those who went above and beyond the call of duty during the recent flooding.

And, as always, the parade features the World Famous Marching Kazoo Band.

Parade organizers are also encouraging all those interested in entering the parade, the World Famous Marching Kazoo Band, or entering the Cool Rods Car Show to fill out one of the forms online by close of business Friday, to be eligible for over $1,300.00 in prize money. CHAPPELL HILL FOURTH 2

This year’s Grand Marshal is Roger Imm, Immediate Past President of the Chappell Hill Chamber of Commerce.

There will be two free parking lots available this year, one off of FM 2447 and one off of FM 1155 by the Chappell Hill Volunteer Fire Department.

KWHI will have live coverage of the parade beginning just before 10;00, Monday morning.

  1. Let’s celebrate freedom but know it is very costly! Many people died for us to have it! And now we r losing it fast! Pray for America! Our way of life can change very quick here! We have to turn around now as a nation back to God!
