CHRISTIAN OLSEN RE-SENTENCED TO LIFE IN PRISION
A convicted Brazos County killer will spend the rest of his life in prison.

28-year old Christian Olsen has been re-sentenced to life without parole for the 2007 Capital Murder of Etta Jean Westbrook.
In 2009, Olsen was convicted and sentenced to death for Westbrook’s murder. In May of 2012, the Court of Criminal Appeals upheld the conviction, but reversed the death-penalty punishment.
A release by the District Attorney’s Office says that the mis-handling of some biological evidence and the death of a key witness led them to abandon plans to ask for the death penalty again, and settle for life in prison without the possibility of parole.
Olsen was also implicated—but never prosecuted—in the death of Geraldine Lloyd.
Lloyd was the mother of Olsen’s girlfriend, Kelly Sifuentez. Sifuentez committed suicide while in prison, serving 30 years for Solicitation of Captial Murder.
