CITY COUNCIL TO HOLD PUBLIC HEARING ON AN AMENDMENT TO CODE OF ORDINANCES

The Brenham Council will hold a public hearing and will possibly act to consider an amendment to the Code of Ordinances of the City of Brenham granting a Specific Use Permit to True Believers Christian Fellowship Church on Thursday at 1:00pm.

The church is asking to be allowed to use property located on Clay Street, and to change the zoning from Mixed Residential Zoning.

The Council will also discuss the possible purchase of Masterseal Infield Conditioner and Mix for several baseball and softball fields in the city. This will enable them to drain and absorb water better.  According to the City of Brenham Director of Public Works Dane Rau,  it will " not be turf but is an infield turface.  Basically a new dirt material replacing the red clay mix that we currently have on our fields".

Also to be discussed as will will be the purchase of a residential garbage truck using a Buy Board Contract for the City of Brenham’s Sanitation Department.

Also on the agenda is the possible purchase of water play features for the Blue Bell Aquatic Center Leisure Pool, using a BuyBoard Contract.

The Council will also discuss and nominate candidates for election to the Washington County Appraisal District Board of Directors.

Finally, the Council will act upon a request for a Noise Variance for the Relay for Life, to be held on November 7th from 6:00pm to midnight at Fireman’s Park.

The Council will then go in Executive Session to deliberate the City of Brenham’s Gas Supply Contract.

The Brenham City Council meets on the second floor of City Hall Council Chambers at 200 W. Vulcan.
