CITY OF BRENHAM EXTENDS BRUSH PICKUP DEADLINE

  

The City of Brenham is extending its free brush pick up in the Brenham city limits this week, and will continue until May 11th.

The brush pick up comes in response to the storms nearly two weeks ago that left thousands without power, some due to downed trees over power lines.

City of Brenham Public Works Director Dane Rau says that there was more brush than anticipated, and with the nice weather over the weekend, more people put brush out. Rau says the city is working to ensure that everyone that wants the brush picked up will be able to have it removed from their property.

No appointment is needed for this pickup, and no special cutting of the limbs is necessary. If the brush is at the curb, the city will pick it up.
