CITY OF BRENHAM PET ADOPTION CENTER RECEIVES DONATION

Bob Davis, chair of the Animal Friends of Washington County, presents a check for $5,000 to Rex Phelps, assistant city manager, to be used for the Brenham Pet Adoption Center.

The Animal Friends organization has previously donated $14,000 from their annual fund raiser in support of the new shelter.

Part of The Animal Friends’ mission is to offer low-cost spay and neuter programs; through their efforts they have greatly helped reduced the negative impact of over-population in the area.

  1. This group is to be commended for their monetary contribution! They serve as a shining example of kindness and concern for our furry friends. As we prepare for Thanksgiving and Christmas, let’s not forget all the homeless animals waiting for their furever homes. If you can’t manage to add another pet to your family, please consider a donation to the animal shelters in our area!

  2. “ALL PRAISES” to this WONDERFUL cause and the organizations and individuals that work so hard towards making this effort successful for our animals in need of love and care in Washington County and surrounding area.
P.S. We also have other great organizations like this in Washington County….KUDOS!!!
