A Brazos County jury has found a College Station woman guilty of trying to hire a hit man to kill her ex-husband.

The punishment phase of Nicolette Beard's trial began Friday morning after a jury reached a guilty verdict Thursday night, in the trial that started Wednesday.

Beard was arrested back in September 2013 after she allegedly tried to hire a hit man to kill her husband, Anthony Drymalla.  That hit man turned out to be an undercover officer.

Police say Beard and Drymalla were in a custody dispute, that Beard indicated to the undercover officer that she wanted it to look like an accident, and is was fine if Drymalla's current wife were killed in the hit.

Beard faces up-to-99 years or life in prison.
