COMMISSIONERS APPROVED PROPOSED BURIED UTILITY LINE

The Washington County Commissioners approve a Formal Notice of Proposed Buried Utility Line on Strangemeier Road by PGMS-Central Washington County Water Supply Corp. in Precinct 3 when they met for their regular Tuesday meeting this morning.

The Commissioners also approved Brenham Mayor Milton Tate for the position of Secretary to the Brazos Valley Council of Governments Board for the next fiscal year. His tenure on the board will begin next year

The monthly reports for the county offices were approved, with all coming in at or below their budgets.

The Office of Emergency Management Coordinator report noted that the county expecting at 65-75% reimbursement from FEMA for repairs the county is making on the roads due to the flood damage from May and June rains. FEMA made a visit to the county to come and look at the documentation to get the process started.

Due to the wrong title of a grant that was seeking approval by the 21st Judicial District Attorney Grant Application, the request is being tabled until next Tuesday. The grant name was listed as Victim Coordinator and Liaison Grant. The proper name is Other Victim Assistance Grant.

The Commissioners also honored Linda Hobrarschk as she retires after twenty six year of service with the USDA Farm Service Agency.
