COMMISSIONERS TO DISCUSS GRANTS TUESDAY

  

Discussion on amending the terms of a federal grant for storm cleanup is on the agenda for Tuesday morning’s meeting of the Washington County Commissioners court.

The Texas Division of Emergency Management has awarded several FEMA grants to Washington County, to help with an estimated $4-million in damages sustained in the storms in April and May.

Commissioners will also discuss authorizing seeking bids for tree removal, culverts, bridge pilings, fuel, hauling, paving and road construction materials, and steel products.

The commissioners will also discuss an agreement for services with Local Government Solutions for the District Attorney’s office.

County Commissioners will meet Tuesday morning at 9:00, at the courthouse annex across from the courthouse.

The usual meeting room is being used for Tuesday’s election.
