COMMISSIONERS TO DISCUSS OIL AND GAS DEVELOPEMENT LEASE AT NEXT MEETING

The Washington County Commissioners on Tuesday will discuss awarding the bid for the lease of 1.293 acres of land off of FM 1948 in Washington County near Burton for oil and gas development, part of the James Mc Cain League when they meet at 9am.

Also on the agenda is the discussion on the possibility of terminating the Interlocal Agreement on January 18, 2016 between the City of Brenham and Washington County for the maintenance of EMS Mobile Data Terminals, and Law Enforcement Mobile Data Terminals.

The County does not have an IT department, so the City of Brenham was taking over the maintenance. The City is requiring a sixty day notice, and after that time, Washington County will take over the maintenance.

The City of Brenham will also be approving the termination of the Interlocal Agreement at the next City Council meeting.

The commissioners will also discuss the possibility of granting the Washington County EMS the authority to purchase a replacement vehicle. The chassis is for the squad vehicle, replacing the one that was damaged by flood waters recently.

The commissioners will also hear the Washington County IT Department’s monthly report, as well ,as the 911, sheriff, EMS and Veteran’s Service monthly reports.

The Commissioners meet in the courthouse chambers at the Washington County Courthouse.

  1. Now I’m confused; is this a different EMS vehicle than the one already approved for replacement using BBEC grant money?
