COMMUNITY WIDE THANKSGIVING DINNER WELL ATTENDED

Hundreds of people came together to celebrate Thanksgiving yesterday at the Community Wide Thanksgiving dinner at the Cannery Kitchen in downtown Brenham.

A Thanksgiving meal with all the trimmings were served to everyone that wanted or needed a meal, and many came for the fellowship rather than spend the time alone.

Over 400 people and volunteers showed up for the meal and fellowship. The volunteers helped distribute meals to the homebound and those who couldn’t make it to the Cannery Kitchen.

Randy Wells, Director of Faith Mission, gives us a recap of the Thanksgiving event, and thanked those who helped put it together.

More than ten churches participated in the ecumenical event, and Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation and Valmont Industries donated all the turkeys.

This annual Thanksgiving event is  sponsored by Faith Mission, who’s purpose of putting this event together is to bring people together for fellowship and worship.
