COMPEAN RECEIVES PROBATION FOR STEALING YOUTH FOOTBALL EQUIPMENT
A Hempstead man has been sentenced to probation after pleading guilty to stealing football equipment from Brenham youths.
31-year old Isidro Compean plead guilty to Theft between $20,000-and-$100,000 for stealing over $25,000 worth of equipment from the Brenham Youth Football League.
Compean had been responsible for getting 180 sets of helmets and shoulder pads reconditioned – but they were never delivered to the equipment supply company.
Compean has been ordered to make restitution of $25,200. He must also perform 250 hours of Community Service and undergo drug & alcohol evaluation and treatment.
Also in 21st District Court:
27-year old Logan James Sachtleben of Abilene had his probation revoked for a 2013 conviction for Firearm Smuggling. He was sentenced to four years in prison and fined $2000.
23-year old Darius Jacoryum Thompson of Navasota was sentenced to three years behind bars after his probation was revoked. Thompson was convicted in 2013 for Assault of a Public Serant. He was also fined $983.
45-year old Rene Valero-Morejon of Houston was sentenced to two years in prison and fined $2000 for Forgery of a Government Instrument.
56-year old Archie Ray Arnold of Houston was sentenced to eight months in jail for Theft of Property -- less than $2,500.
39-year old Billy Charles Johnson of Granbury was sentenced to six months in jail and fined $1500 after his probation was revoked for a 2014 conviction for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
25-year old Gerald Patrick Walton Jr. of Klleen was sentenced to six months in jail for Possession of a Controlled Substance.
29-year old Corey Thomas of Brenham was placed on eight years’ probation for Continuous Family Violence. Thomas was also fined $2,500 and ordered to perform 500 hours of community service. He must also spend 60 days in the Washington County Jail and pay for the victim’s counseling.
30-year old Justin B. Montgomery of Round Rock was placed on five years’ probation and fined $1,500 for Tampering with Physical Evidence. Montgomery was also ordered to perform 200 hours of community service.
