District 10 U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul is praising today’s (Monday’s) U.S. Supreme Court decision that any corporation, including the Hobby Lobby, does not have to provide contraception insurance to its workers.
The Hobby Lobby was one of many corporations that said it was a violation of their religious principles to provide such health insurance as part of the Affordable Care Act, or Obamacare.
The local congressional representative released a statement shortly after the ruling saying it was a ‘victory for our Constitution.’
McCaul has been an outspoken opponent of the health care law since it was passed four years ago and has, along with the rest of his Republican colleagues to continue to try to repeal the legislation.
