COTTON BOWL TO HOST UT/OU THRU 2025

ut-ou rivarlyThe Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma Sooners will continue their rivalry at the Cotton Bowl until at least 2025.

The Dallas Morning News reports that the two arch-rivals have agreed to keep their game at the Cotton Bowl for the next 12 seasons.

Each school’s board of trustees still must approve the new deal, but civic leaders have told the Morning News that both athletic departments have agreed to the deal.

The City of Dallas has spent about $57-million on stadium improvements and added 16,000 seats.

The two have met as part of the State Fair of Texas every year since 1929.
