COUNTY COMMISSIONERS HAVE LONG AGENDA FOR TUESDAY

Washington County Commissioners have a long agenda for their meeting next Tuesday.

Commissioners will award the bids for materials for the Road and Bridge Department and Fuel for all the county departments for 2018.  No bids were received for steel products, so commissioners will consider re-advertising that item.  They will also look at rescinding the bid for the jail inmate payphone service that was awarded in November.  Commissioners will consider re-advertising for that service.

Commissioners will also discuss several agreements Tuesday.  They will consider an agreement with the Democratic and Republican Parties in Washington County for a Joint Primary Election in March of 2018.  They will discuss the renewal of an interlocal agreement with Grimes County for housing prisoners from Washington County in their jail.  Also, they will discuss sharing the costs for a water well with the Washington Volunteer Fire Department for their new building which will house an Advanced Community Paramedic from EMS.

Commissioners will also look at candidates for two local boards.  The will appoint a member to the Hotel Occupancy Board.  They will also vote on the nominees for the Washington County Tax Appraisal District Board of Directors.

Commissioners will also recognize a recent cardiac arrest survival victim in Washington County.

The County Commissioners Court meets Tuesday at 9:00 AM at the Washington County Courthouse.
