COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO TAKE OATH OF OFFICE JANUARY 1

  

The Washington County Commissioners will meet on Thursday, January 1st to take the Oath of Office they were elected or re-elected to on November 4th.

Ken Tofel will be sworn in as Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace, and Bill Kendall will be sworn in as JP of Precinct 4.

There are three incumbents who won their contest, including Luther Hueske, who re-election for Precinct 2, Douglas Cone who won the Precinct 2 JP position and Douglas Zwiener, who won re-election for Precinct 1.

There will be other winners of uncontested elections that will also be sworn in Thursday. Those are County Judge John Brieden, County Clerk Beth Rothermel, County Treasurer Peggy Kramer, District Clerk Tammy Brauner and Precinct 4 Commissioner Joy Fuchs.

The commissioners will also recognize outgoing elected officials for their years of service to Washington County.

There will also be a discussion of the approval of bonds for elected officials, as well as discussion of consolidating voting precincts for the special election to be held January 13, 2015

The swearing-in ceremony will be held in the District Courtroom at 10am, on the third floor of the Washington County Courthouse.
