COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO CONSIDER GRANT PROGRAM APPLICATION

  

The Washington County Commissioners Court will meet on Tuesday to consider authorizing a grant application concerning emergency management.

The commissioners will discuss authorizing a grant application under the Homeland Security Grant Program. The grant program funds a range of preparedness activities, including planning, organization, equipment purchase, training, exercises, and management and administration.

In other business, the commissioners will discuss granting the county engineer authorization to obtain bids for a new truck tractor. The court will also discuss granting the county treasurer the authorization to advertise for bank depository bids.

The commissioners will also:

• Consider approving an appointment to the investment committee for Washington County
• Recognize Constable Nelson Zibilski upon his retirement for many years of dedication to Washington County
• Hear a number of monthly reports from county entities
