COWBOY CHURCH & FAITH MISSION TO DISTRIBUTE MORE SCHOOL SUPPLIES

The new school year begins in less than a week, and for local families affected by the recent rash of layoffs, the Cowboy Church of Brenham has come through.

The local church has been collecting school supplies and monetary donations through the Neighbors Helping Neighbors Initiative.

According to Reverend Randy Wells of Faith Mission, the church’s drive exceeded all expectations.

Julie Burnside of the Cowboy Church says displaced workers at Blue Bell, Stan PAC, Valmont, MIC, and other local businesses have an opportunity this (Wednesday) afternoon get some help at Faith Mission…

Burnside has since said they will be back giving away more supplies tomorrow (Thursday) from 9-to-12.

BISD Superintendent, Dr. Walter Jackson, says the district has been supportive of the Neighbors Helping Neighbors program by providing computing access, resume training, and other services.

He went on to say he’s glad that the children and parents in the community will be the recipients of the generosity of the Cowboy Church.”

Burnside says the outpouring has been incredible…

The Cowboy Church meets Sunday mornings for services at Silver Wings Ballroom on Highway 105.
