A tip to Crime Stoppers has led to the arrest of a Brenham woman, who was wanted on multiple warrants.

The Brenham Police Department’s Fusion Unit arrested 31-year old Ashley Wilson Thursday afternoon.

Wilson was arrested in Houston and was charged with exploitation of elderly; two counts of forgery; theft; credit card fraud; and bail jumping.

Capt. Trey Gully said a tip from Crime Stoppers paid off with Wilson’s arrest.

Gully says the Fusion Unit, “…has been looking for her for some time.”

“We really appreciate the tip that led to her arrest.  We had leads on her, but she was known to change her appearance quite often.”

“Sgt. Carl Wiesepape definitely has put in countless hours following up all leads no matter where they came from. With his perseverance and using resources such as social media and Crime Stoppers, we were finally able to apprehend this felon.”

Wilson is currently being held in the Washington County Jail.
