CROWD GATHERS FOR PRAYER VIGIL DOWNTOWN

A prayer vigil prior to the Juneteenth Parade,  to pray for the nine victims of an attack on a black South Carolina church.

Pastors from around the community shared with the community prayers and hope for that church and its members, along with prayers for the people of Washington County.

Gail Graves ended the program with a rendition of “We Shall Overcome.”

The vigil was put together by Randy Wells of Faith Mission, and Pastor Aidsand Miles, of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church.
