SOUTH CENTRAL TEXAS COW-CALF CLINIC SEES LARGE TURNOUT
A large crowd of people came out for the 45th Annual South Central Texas Cow-Calf Clinic and Trade Show today (Friday) in Brenham.
Dr. Joe Paschal, a Texas AgriLife Extension Livestock Specialist, and Dr. Helen Philips, of Philips Veterinary Hospital, began the morning with a demonstration on proper chute-side methods.
Attendees at the event were able to watch a live-feed of the programs happening outside during the clinic. Following the live cattle demonstrations, there were hands-on activities including judging a class of bulls, visiting with trade show sponsors, and viewing the display cattle from area producers.
The clinic was held at the Washington County Fairgrounds Sales Facility. The Cow-Calf Clinic was sponsored by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and beef committees from Austin, Brazos, Burleson, Fayette, Grimes, Harris, Lee, Washington and Waller counties. KWHI's Craig Montana was there broadcasting live from the event.
