CROWDS COME TO DOWNTOWN TO HEAR DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE READING

  

 

Members of the Washington County Bar Association, Washington County Republicans and Washington County Democrats along with the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association held the Annual Fourth of July public reading of the Declaration of Independence Thursday morning at 8:15am.

 According to the  organizer of the event, Robbie Gayle Charrette, there were approximately 58 persons in attendance, and says that the event was a grass roots effort, and hopes to hold the event again next year.

Washington County Judge John Brieden gave the invocation before and led a prayer at the end of the reading.
