Cubettes basketball season ends in area round of playoffs

The Brenham Cubettes great season came to an end Thursday night at they fell to A&M Consolidated 48-46.  The Cubettes were down 28-21 at the half, then outscored Consol 25-20 in the second half, but just fell short by the buzzer.  The Cubettes only had 7 free throw attempts to Consol's 17, which was a major factor in the game. Teaira McCowan was the leading scorer with 27 points and only 1 free throw attempt. The Cubettes finish their season 25-8 as the District 19-5A Champions.
