CUBETTES CELEBRATE “SENIOR NIGHT” WITH 10-2 WIN

The Brenham Cubettes put the clinches on a post-season berth with a win Tuesday night in their home finale over Waller, 10-2, as the Cubettes clinch a post-season berth.

Brenham jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first inning, on a two-run double by Maddie Weatherly and a baes-loaded walk to Reaghan Kwiatkowski.

The Cubettes (14-9/8-5) extended their lead with four more runs in the third inning.  Kelly Jurden drove in a run with a single, followed by Annie Cangelosi’s double that drove in two more runs.

Brette Kohring drove in two more runs in the fourth inning with a double.  Kohnring doubled again in the sixth inning to drive in two more runs.

Autumn Pauler had two hits and scored three runs.

Colleen Bentke (11-6) went the distance to pick up the win, giving up one earned run on eight hits, while striking out seven and walking two.

Following the game, the Cubettes honored their five senior playing their last regular season game at Alumni Field: Shannon Loukanis, Colleen Bentke, Lauren Winkelmann, Madi Hooks and Reaghan Kwiatkowski.

The Cubettes will close out the regular season, Friday night at Spring Woods at 6:45.
