CUBETTES EKE OUT 2-0 WIN OVER WALLER

The Brenham Cubettes scored the only two runs of the game in the top of the sixth, as they sweated out a 2-0 win over Waller (1-5) Friday night.

Colleen Bentke (7-4) pitched a two-hit shutout, with eight strike outs and just one walk.

Autumn Pauler broke a 0-0 tie in the sixth, when her ground ball drove home Lauren Winkelmann.  Ashley Hodde’s single drove home Pauler with an insurance run.

Kelly Jurden was 2-4, while Pauler finished 1-3 with a double.

Bentke, Maddie Weatherly and Reagan Kwiatkowski each singled.

The Cubettes (10-6/4-2) will host Spring Woods, Tuesday night at Alumni Field at 6:45.  The game can be heard on KWHI and www.kwhi.com beginning with the pre-game show at 6:25.
