CUBETTES MOVE INTO TOP-25 IN 5A, POWER PAST WALLER

The latest TGCA poll, released earlier this week, has the Brenham Cubettes ranked as the #24 5A team in the state. At the time the Cubettes were 15-7 (4-1) on the season, but they added another win to the column last night as they powered past Waller 64-16.  Led by Tierra McCowan's 16 points and 10 rebounds the Cubettes held Waller to only 6 points in the first half.  Adding to the effort were Angelica Darcus with 14 points and 6 assists, plus Shameria Armstead's 14 points, 5 steals and 2 rebounds. Up next for the #24-Cubettes is a home game against Spring Woods on Friday, tip-off is set for 6:30, pre-game is scheduled for 6:15 on KWHI and KWHI.com.
