Cubettes Split Day 2 of Leadoff Classic

The Cubettes are now a square 2-2 on the season as they again split their games for the second day of the Leadoff Classic. In game 1, Pflugerville Hendrickson won 10-6. The Cubettes scored those 6 runs on 11 hits, leaving 7 on base. Kelly Jurden was 4-4 at the plate with 3 singles and 1 triple. Reagan Kwiatkowski was 2-3 win a double and RBI single and Jordan Wellman was also 2-3 with an RBI double and solo HR.

   As for game 2, it was a different story. The Cubettes downed Academy 14-6, off 15 hits, no errors and 6 left on base. Collen Bentke got the win and helped herself at the plate going 4-4, all singles and 1 walk. Regan Kwiatkoski continued her day going 3-4 with 3 singles and 1 RBI. Madilyn Weatherly was 2-2 with a single and 2-run double.

  The Cubettes continue play today with 2 more games against Clear Creek at 11:00 (10:40 pregame on KWHI and KWHI .com) and vs. Waltrip at 5:00 (4:40 pregame on KWHI and KWHI.com).
