CUBETTES TRY TO CLINCH PLAYOFF BERTH TONIGHT

The Brenham Cubettes volleyball team faces a crucial match up tonight in their District 19/5A finale at Cubs Gym.

The Cubettes (24-20/8-5) host first-place Magnolia West (23-13/11-2) at 6:00.

Entering the game, the Cubettes find themselves tied with Magnolia for third and fourth in the district, with Tomball one game behind at 7-6.

A win by the Cubettes would clinch a playoff-berth.  A loss, coupled with a Tomball win over Stratford (2-11) would mean a district-playoff later this week.

If the Cubettes and Magnolia (vs. Waller) were to both lose and Tomball win, there would be a three-way playoff for two spots.

Earlier this season, the Cubettes defeated Magnolia West on the road, 3-2 after falling behind, 2-sets-to-0.
