CUBS LOOK TO LOCK UP DISTRICT TITLE TONIGHT

The Brenham Cubs look to put the finishing touch on the District 20/5A race, tonight when they travel to Huntsville to face the Hornets.

The Cubs (18-6/11-1) have clinched at least a co-district title, with a two-game lead over Magnolia (20-4/9-3) with two games left in the regular season.

A win tonight would give the Cubs their 47th district championship since 1952 (65 years).

Earlier this season, the Cubs downed Huntsville (4-21/0-11) 6-1 at Firemen’s Park.

The Cubs will close out the regular season Friday night at home to Magnolia at 7:00.

The game will honor the Cubs’ 2017 senior class.
