CUBS OPEN DISTRICT PLAY TONIGHT
Season number-two gets underway tonight at Cubs Stadium as Brenham opens District 20/5A play against Magnolia West.
The Cubs finished season number-one, pre-district, at 2-1. Now it's time to get down to the business of district play.
Cubs Head Coach Glen West says his team is ready and raring to get the district schedule underway…
Magnolia West enters the game 3-0 in non-district play, and is averaging over 350 yards per game on offense.
Coach West says the Mustangs’ offense is very effective, and mirrors a high-powered college offense…
Defensively, Magnolia West leads the district, yielding just 152 yards and 15 points per game.
West says their defense is going to be very tough for the Cubs to crack…
It’s also Homecoming for Brenham High School as well, with the crowning of the queen set for halftime.
