CUBS’ SCRIMMAGE GOES “AS EXPECTED”

For the first time in 2014, the Brenham Cubs football team took to the field as they hosted 6A powerhouse Manvel in the first scrimmage of the new season, Friday morning.

Cubs’ head coach Glen West says things went pretty much as expected for the first scrimmage…

West said he did see some very good things during the scrimmage…

But West says he also saw some things that will need some work…

The Cubs will scrimmage Round Rock Westwood next Friday morning.

The season opener is set for Friday night, August 29, when they travel to Houston to take on Lamar.

Kickoff is set for 7:00 with the pregame at 6:30 on KWHI and www.kwhi.com.
