CUBS TO SWIM IN FOUR EVENTS AT STATE MEET FRIDAY-SATURDAY
The Brenham Cubs will be well represented in the UIL State Swim meet that begins Friday morning at the Jamail Swim Center in Austin.
Hudson Smith will be defending his 2015 State Championship in the 100 Breaststroke and will be going for gold in the 200 Individual Medley where he took silver, last year. Smith is the fastest qualifier in both events.
Smith is also part of two relays the Cubs will be swimming in: the 200 and 400 Freestyle.
Smith, Mac Naylor, Todd Jahns and Jacob Pyle qualified in both events with strong showings at the Region V meet two weeks ago.
The 5A qualifying prelims are at 10:00 a.m., Friday.
The 5A finals begin at 9:30, Saturday.
