CUBS/TIGERS PREPARE FOR AREA BATTLE TONIGHT

The Brenham Cubs are preparing to take the next step in the 2016 football playoffs, tonight, as they face A&M Consolidated in the Area Playoff.

The Cubs (8-3) take on the Tigers (7-3) after both teams advanced with wins in the Bi-District round, last week.

The Cubs got a last-second field goal from Tien Pham to beat Georgetown, 31-28.  The Tigers rushed for 254 yards in rolling past Jacksonville, 30-15.

Cubs’ Head Coach Glen West says Consolidated is a very athletic football team…

Tigers’ Head Coach David Raffield says the Cubs are extremely disciplined…

The Cubs enter the game with over 3000 yards rushing for the season.  Coach West says they must continue to control the clock if they’re to advance past the Tigers…

The Tigers also run the ball well, behind a strong offensive line.  Coach Raffield says they must play well in the trenches if they’re to have a chance…

Kickoff at Panther Stadium at Prairie View A&M is set for 7:30.  The game can be heard beginning with the Pre-Game Show at 7:00 on KWHI and www.kwhi.com.
