CUSHING TO MISS SUNDAY’S TEXANS GAME

Texans linebacker Brian Cushing is not expected to play Sunday against Tennessee.

Cushing has been hobbled recently with a bad knee—the same knee which he suffered a broken fibula and torn LCL last year.

The team reportedly hopes rest will provide a solution—and Cushing may not see the field until after the team’s bye in week-10.

Meanwhile, the Titans are expected to change starting quarterbacks for Sunday’s game with the Texans.

Sources say rookie Zach Mettenberger will get the start over Jake Locker and Charlie Whitehurst.

Locker has missed the last two games with an injured thumb but had been expected to start Sunday, but newpaper reports in Nashville say the team is now looking toward the future.

Kickoff is scheduled for noon, Sunday.  The game can be heard live on KWHI.
