DEATH SENTENCE FOR HUDSON IN BRAZOS CO. COURT

A Brazos County Jury has sentenced William Hudson to death for the murders of two people, while they were camping overnight in Anderson County.

The jury sentenced him to death after a two week trial in Bryan.

The jury began deliberations a little before noon Wednesday. Last week Hudson was convicted of capital murder for killing Carl Johnson and his daughter Hannah.

Also killed on November 14 of 2015, were Tom Kamp, his two sons Austin and Nathan as well as Hannah's six-year-old son Kade Johnson.

Prosecutors say Hudson was upset the group was camping on land that used to belong to his family and had recently been sold.

Family members of the victim's say they are relieved by the outcome.

Yesterday also marked the two year anniversary of when Carl and Hannah Johnson's bodies were discovered and Hudson was taken into custody.

The trial had been moved from Anderson County to Bryan on a change of venue motion, due to local publicity surrounding the case.
