‘DIG PINK’ NIGHT TONIGHT AT CUBETTE VOLLEYBALL GAME

Tonight the Brenham Cubettes will do more than play a district volleyball game – they will do their part to raise funds for the battle against Breast Cancer.

‘Dig Pink’ night is set for the Brenham High School gymnasium tonight, as the Cubettes host the first-place Magnolia Lady Bulldogs.

Proceeds from ticket sales, raffles and the sale of ‘Dig Pink’ t-shirts will go to the Side-Out Foundation that supports Breast Cancer awareness and research.

Dozens of items will be up for raffle, including: jewelry, pies, cookies, clothing, dinners, Aggie Volleyball tickets and many other items.

Cubettes volleyball coach Debbie Yeager says the team has raised nearly $20,000 for the Side-Out foundation since the first ‘Dig Pink’ night, eight years ago.

Raffle items are on display at the High School throughout the day, with the raffles taking place during the varsity game, slated to begin at 6:00.

Anyone who cannot make it to the game tonight, can drop by the High School throughout the day and purchase tickets and place them in the raffle buckets.

‘Dig Pink’ t-shirts will also be available in the athletics office throughout the day and at the game, tonight.

The Cubettes enter the match 4-5 in district play, while Magnolia is 8-1.  Brenham is battling with Willis for the fourth-and-final playoff berth in the district, and a win tonight would be crucial for the Cubettes’ playoff hopes.

Tonight’s game can also be heard on KWHI and www.kwhi.com beginning at approximately 5:45.
