DISTURBANCE LEADS TO MARIJUANA ARRESTS

A disturbance at the Brenham McDonald’s near the HEB led to arrests for possession of marijuana and prohibited substances last (Tuesday) night.

Brenham police officers responded to the scene at 8:36pm, when they got reports of the disturbance but by the time the officers got there, the suspects were gone.

Cpl. Richard Bobbitt was able to stop their car in the 1100 block of Prairie Lea.  The driver, 18-year old D’Vuntre Brown of Houston, told the officer the disruption began when someone was rude to his girlfriend.  He and 18-year old Frederick Harrison of Brenham and two others, left the restaurant after that.

Harrison appeared to be nervous and a search found one joint of marijuana on him.   Once the two were taken to the Washington County Jail, the jailer found a small bag of marijuana.  Harrison was then charged with possession of marijuana and possession of a prohibited substance in a correctional facility.
